TPiS founder Myron Cottrell has been involved with motorsports, and building engines in his minneapolis shop since the late 50's, and has taught the art of engine machining and building at vocational school through the 70's. In 1988 he started TPiS as one of the first aftermarket companys that offered performance parts specifically for fuel injected vehicles. Throughout the 90's, we developed many products to make modifying EFI cars easy for the home mechanic, many being simple bolt-on parts. Through our involvement in motorsports came the head, cam, intake combinations that produce race winning results. Tight tolorence and longevity in both competition and street engines are the trademarks of our in-house machine shop. Our chip programming knowledge allowed us to tune for maximum power, reliablity, and fuel economy. At the turn of the millenium, EFI technology was making even greater strides in performance and reliability. Fuel injection is now so easy to use in street rods that the old carburator may become a thing of the past. And TPiS is leading the charge with complete EFI conversions and turn key engines with wiring harness and computers for any GM V-8 application. TPiS is now under new management and are looking forward to supplying more products, better service, and greater involvement in motorsports.
