With the sale of John Cottrell's 99 Busch car to Bill Glass Ministries, the car has been re-assigned and is used, in a program called Ring Of Champions, to help at-risk kids to stay out of trouble and, with help from mentors, make better life decisions. This TPiS powered car first made headlines in 2006 when John Cottrell drove this car to 198.115 mph at the Bonniville salt flats. Now the kids in the program have achieved 165.9 mph at the Texas Mile and are already trying to figure out how to hit 200 mph next spring.
